Commercial vehicles & vans -
read >>
Pear Tree is in green-belt surrounded by farms and countryside and most customers are on holiday.
Commercial vehicles and vans can be untidy do not fit in with a rural holiday environment.
We do not allow commercial vehicles or vans.
Sometimes, we can store vans in our yard - please ask before booking if this is possible.
Please do not arrive with a van without making arrangements before hand.
Clothes drying -
read >>
On holiday, most try and keep washing to a minimum, however you will probably have at least towels etc to dry.
We have a laundry with washing machines and tumble dryers.
If you prefer to dry your clothes outside, we have a large drying area with several rotary dryers.
Other people staying at Pear Tree do not like looking at your washing, even from a distance, so we do not allow clothes lines of any sort around pitches.
If you are in a caravan or motorhome, we do not mind the small dryers that hang out of a window, but not dryers that go on the 'A' frame, or anywhere else on your pitch.
Dogs -
read >>
Generally, we have a maximum of 2 dogs per pitch assuming that the owner accepts the need for constant control.
By controlled, we mean that your dogs :
- are always on a short lead and are never allowed to run free.
- are supervised by an adult.
- are never allowed to foul on the park; even where this is cleared up, dog faeces are unhygienic for children.
- are exercised off the park - we have an exercise area just outside
- do not disturb other guests by barking.
Dog owners must understand that there will be other people around, including children, who may disturb the dog.
In all circumstances we see the dog as being at fault.
- are not left unattended in caravans, tents or cars.
In the interests of everyone, we will ask owners to remove any dogs that we feel are uncontrolled.
In these circumstances, fees are not refunded - for either the dog, or others who may also have to leave.
Gazebos, barbeques, etc -
read >>
Gazebo's or extra tents are fine if you are staying in a tent.
As caravans have awnings, fire regulations do not allow gazebos or extra tents with your caravan.
We do not charge for gazebos or extra tents; please leave a 3 metre fire separation gap.
Barbeques should be off the ground, and fires are
not allowed.
Please use a breathable groundsheets in caravan awnings.

Groups should be comfortable with a peaceful setting, not take over and allow others to relax, particularly after 10.30 in the evening.
If your group are under 21, please phone us in advance of making a booking.

read >>

Some older children/teenagers are happy with this and enjoy a quiet holiday with their family.
If your party includes older children/teenagers, please be sure that a quiet location will meet their needs.
Windbreaks -
read >>
Pear Tree is a natural and un spoilt campsite; to keep the site as natural as possible for everyone we do
not allow beach windbreaks.
If you are staying in a tent and want some shelter around your cooking area, you can use a windbreak, where its colour matches your tent.
If you use a matching windbreak, it must not be used as a washing line or dog cage.
We do not allow any wind breaks of any sort on caravan or motorhome pitches.
